Have fun rock climbing with MAG! This day is all about having fun and climbing as much as you can on a shorter outing. Perfect for families, new climbers, or gym climbers looking to get outside. The climbs are located on the banks of the scenic Gallatin River. This quick, fun and casual open enrollment group offering is tailored to individuals and groups looking for a vertical adventure. Come alone or with friends and family for some great climbing.

  • Participants will meet their professional climbing guide at the crag conveniently located just 25 minutes from Big Sky and 30 minutes from Bozeman. From here you will get geared up and walk less than 5 minutes to the climbs. After a safety orientation and quick introduction to climbing, all participants will have the opportunity to experience climbs for all levels ranging from fun to challenging (5.6- 5.9).

    • Safe and fun introduction to outdoor rock climbing

    • Beginner to intermediate climbing opportunities

  • No previous experience necessary. Ages 5 and older.

    • Professional climbing guide

    • Personal climbing gear (rock climbing shoes, harness, helmet)

    • Group gear (ropes, carabiners, climbing protection, slings, cordelettes, etc.)

    • Food, water, transport, lodging

    • Technical clothing, backpack, etc.

    • Rescue insurance

    • Trip insurance

    • Guide gratuity

    • 4% Public Land Use Fee

    • Unforeseen expenses from circumstances outside of Montana Alpine Guides’ control

  • Please see our Rock Climbing Equipment List for the required equipment for this trip. Technical equipment (rock climbing shoes, helmet, and harness) may be rented from MAG and is included in day cost. This must be coordinated in advance (especially shoe sizes!)
