EDUCATIONAL COURSE
Intermediate Ice
Do you have a few days of ice climbing and instruction under your belt with hopes to improve on technique and skills for more difficult ice climbs or alpine objectives? Do you want to get an introduction on leading ice? Then this is the course for you! Climbing on steeper more difficult ice climbs requires an array of advanced skills. In this clinic, we will go over how to efficiently climb steep ice and may dabble into some basic mixed climbing.

Focus on efficiency to ensure participants can make the most of short winter ice climbing days and stay warm while doing so

Climbers enrolling in our Intermediate Ice Climbing Course should have some previous experience climbing on ice. Contact us about options if you feel you need to gain these skills.

Please see our Ice Climbing Equipment List for the required equipment for this trip. Technical equipment (ice climbing boots, crampons, ice tools, helmet, and harness) are included in the cost and can be provided. This must be coordinated in advance (especially boot sizes!)
