Bozeman Rock Climbing Festival
Montana Alpine Guides (MAG) established the Bozeman Rock Climbing Festival as a way to bring local climbers together while offering highly discounted rock climbing courses. Whether you are completely new to climbing, looking to hone your skills or simply wanting to connect with other local climbers–come join us for this fun and casual weekend event.
FESTIVAL ITINERARY
Saturday, September (dates TBD)
8:00am | Meet at Montana Alpine Guides Office to split into clinic groups and carpool/caravan to clinic locations. Guides and instructors will be waiting on location with ropes set up.
9:00am – 3:30pm | Rock Climbing Clinics

Intro to Rock
If you have never tried rock climbing before, have never climbed outdoors, or want a review, then this is the perfect half-day course for you.

Intro to Sport Lead
This course is for those who have experience top-rope climbing or climbing in the gym and want to take it to the next level lead climbing on real rock.

Trad Lead
This course is for those who have experience leading sport climbs and want to tap in to the multitude of classic traditional routes and or alpine objectives abound.

Multi-Pitch Rock
This course is designed for those with past traditional climbing experience and or as a continuation from one of our traditional climbing courses.

Self/Partner Rescue
This 2-day Self/Partner Rescue Course is designed to teach participants the skills and techniques necessary to improvise a safe way out of a crisis situation.
