Mixed Climbing

EDUCATIONAL COURSE

Ready to push your limits and take your ice climbing to the next level? Our Mixed Ice Climbing Course bridges the gap between ice and rock, teaching you to move with precision and control through steep, varied terrain. Designed for climbers with prior ice experience, this course focuses on the techniques, strategies, and systems essential for success on routes where rock and ice converge. Under the guidance of expert instructors, you’ll refine your tool placements, learn efficient transitions, and build the confidence to tackle complex alpine and winter climbing objectives.

    • Review of steep ice climbing techniques and skills

    • Tool and crampon placements on the rock (edges, hooks, torques, etc)

    • Gear selection and protection types in various types of rock

    • Mixed climbing technique and instruction on low angle, vertical, and steep mixed climbs

  • Climbers enrolling in our Mixed Climbing Course should have some experience in climbing on ice. Contact us about options if you feel you need to gain these skills.
