Big Sky Group Climb & Instruction - Red Cliff

Get out rock climbing this summer at discounted rates. Sign up alone or with others. All are welcome. Whether you want to learn or just climb this trip allows enough time for both. This open enrollment group climb is designed to connect climbers of all levels and backgrounds in the beautiful setting of the Gallatin Canyon. With ample time and a small group ratio, your professional climbing guide will tailor the instruction and climbs to meet the individual goals and objectives of each participant. 

  • Participants will meet their guide at the crag conveniently located just 10 minutes from Big Sky town center. From here they will get geared up and walk less than 5 minutes to the climbs. After a safety orientation and quick introduction to climbing, all participants will have the opportunity to experience climbs for all levels ranging from fun to challenging (5.6-5.10+).

    • Safe and fun introduction to outdoor rock climbing for beginners

    • Opportunity for experienced climbers to seek instruction from a professional guide

    • Beginner to intermediate climbs

  • No previous experience necessary. Ages 5 and older.

    • Professional climbing guide

    • Personal climbing gear (rock climbing shoes, harness, helmet)

    • Group gear (ropes, carabiners, climbing protection, slings, cordelettes, etc.)

    • Food, water, transport, lodging

    • Technical clothing, backpack, etc.

    • Rescue insurance

    • Trip insurance

    • Guide gratuity

    • 4% Public Land Use Fee

    • Unforeseen expenses from circumstances outside of Montana Alpine Guides’ control

  • Please see our Rock Climbing Equipment List for the required equipment for this trip. Technical equipment (rock climbing shoes, helmet, and harness) may be rented from MAG and is included in day cost. This must be coordinated in advance (especially shoe sizes!)
