Allenspur Guided Half or Full Day

Situated along the Yellowstone River and with views of the northern Absaroka Mountains, Allenspur in the Paradise Valley is one of the most scenic climbing areas in southwest Montana. The approach is less than 10 minutes and offers great sport climbs for beginner to advanced abilities. Whether you are a complete novice looking for an introduction to rock climbing, a family looking for a fun outdoor adventure or an experienced climber seeking private instruction, our professional guides will customize your trip to meet your objectives and abilities.

  • Our professional climbing guides teach the foundational skills necessary for outdoor climbing with coaching on belaying and climbing outdoors.

    • Learn basic climbing knots

    • Learn to confidently belay in an outdoor setting

    • Efficient climbing technique, footwork, etc.

    • Customized instruction by a professional based on your experience and goals

  • No experience required

    • Professional climbing guide

    • Personal climbing gear (rock climbing shoes, harness, helmet)*

    • Group Gear: Ropes, carabiners, climbing protection, slings, cordelettes, etc.

    • Food, water, transport, lodging

    • Technical clothing, backpack, etc.

    • Rescue insurance

    • Trip insurance

    • Guide gratuity

    • 4% Public Land Use Fee

    • Unforeseen expenses from circumstances outside of Montana Alpine Guides’ control

  • Please see our Rock Climbing Equipment List for the required equipment for this trip. Technical equipment (rock climbing shoes, helmet, and harness) may be rented from MAG and is included in day cost. This must be coordinated in advance (especially shoe sizes!)
